In the summer of 1999 I asked John Atkinson to look out for a young bitch for me. A few months later he told me he had a prospect and if I would be interested. I bought her and send John the price we agreed on. As we had found out that she was due to come into heat in December, I asked John if he could keep her a little longer and breed her for me and we decided on Stuart Davidson's Whiterose Kep (now owned by Chris Smart and Carol Campion). Jan a result of Longton breeding, arrived a few days after she had been bred - early in January 2000 and gave birth to seven pups on February 19th. One of the pups Kit, now Peg, went to Linda Froehlich in Saskatchewan, who sold the pup a few months later to Norm Close who in turn sold her to Ian Zoerb.

Under Ian's skilled training and handling Peg CBCA 600 soon started to shine on the trial field - winning the Western Championships twice, and then lastyear the USBCHA Finals. Her dam, Jan was probably the best all around dog I ever had but unfortunately succumbed to cancer in her sixth year. Tara is a daughter of her and Ian fulfilled my wish and soldme a pup of Peg's last year - Abby. So hopefully this will continue Jan's line here.
