The affairs of the Corporation shall be managed by a board of directors of 5 directors, consisting of a President, Vice-President and Secretary and two additional directors.
Lend some time and energy to the OBCC in 2012 by offering to stand for election to the board.
If you or someone you know would like to run for any of the 5 positions on the Board of Directors please advise the Nominating Committee by writing to Anne Wheatley at wheats@sympatico.ca before 5 pm November 19, 2011. Alternatively you can bring a written nomination to the Annual General Meeting on November 20, 2011. But note that if the nominee is not present at the AGM they must send along acceptance of the nomination in writing, and all nominations must be moved and seconded by members of the Corporation.
The other way you can help out is to express interest in sitting on a committee. From time to time the Board may form committees as appropriate. Last year the board appointed members to committees that focused on Outreach and Education, Trials and Fund Raising. Send Anne Wheatley an e-mail to communicate your interest in any particular area, or let her know at the AGM.
